Artist: Hobo Johnson Artists hiphop by Marjoleine - 05/07/201905/07/20190 After being kicked out of his house in Sacramento, Califonia, Frank Lopes in Sacramento, Califonia started writing lyrics and performing them after taking up the name Hobo Johnson in 2015. A year later he and backed by his bandmates The Lovemakers started recording live sessions called Live from Oak Park. In 2016 Hobo Johnson released his first self produced album The Rise of Hobo Johnson, which was re-produced and changed in the following year (2017) with a different tracklisting. Sometime after that they signed with Reprise Records and won four Sacramento Area Music awards; Artist of the Year, Best Hip-Hop/Rap, Best Emcee and Best New Artist When Hobo Johnson and The Lovemakers released a music video/performing video for Peach Scone for the Tiny Desk Contest on YouTube on March 7th 2018, it only took a couple of weeks for their views to hit over 14.6 million both on Facebook and YouTube. Causing The Rising of Hobo Johnson to hit #8 on the Billboards Hitseekers chart. In 2018 they set out on a world wide tour and on june 21st they released a new single, Typical Story. It makes me connect to the things he says and I like their raw approach like with Romeo & Juliet and Peach Scone. I feel like their show would be a lot of fun and I look forward to ever being able to see them perform live. Credit: http://typicalstory.hobojohnson.com/ Like this:Like Loading...
